Cerium sulfide red
Cerium red is a yellowish red powdery inorganic pigment, with cerium sulfide as its main component. Cerium sulfide was successfully developed as a pigment by the French company Rhodia in 1996 and has been widely used in various coloring fields. Cerium is one of the 17 important elements contained in rare earth elements, harmless to the human body and the environment. Therefore, cerium red pigment is more environmentally friendly compared to red colors containing heavy metal components. Cerium red has strong coloring power, bright color, good lightfastness, weather resistance, excellent covering power, and non-migratory properties. It is a new type of pigment that can replace cadmium red and other heavy metal inorganic pigments. It complies with EU health standards, meets testing requirements such as ROSH, US FDA, and German BfR standards, and can be safely used in products that come into contact with the human body and food, as well as widely used in industries such as engineering plastics.
